Lead Driver/Mover

Compensation:

• Hourly: $15 to $18 per hour.
• Tips: Though not guaranteed, average tips are typically $5 to $10 per hour.

Company Information:

• Location: 4100 Tomlynn St., Suite B, Richmond, VA 23230.
• We don’t work on Sundays.
• Our day starts at 7:30 AM.
• We are looking for hard-working individuals who will fit well with our team.

Lead Driver/Mover Description:

• Drive a 26-foot box truck to the client’s origination address.
• Perform a walk-through with the clients to understand the scope of work and develop a plan with your team.
• Review contracts with clients and obtain signatures.
• Efficiently prepare furniture.
• Use dollies, including an all-terrain dolly, and proper lifting technique to move furniture and boxes from the client’s home into the moving truck.
• Drive the box truck to the client’s destination address.
• Unload furniture and boxes and arrange to the client’s satisfaction.
• Review contracts with the client when the job is complete. Obtain signatures and receive payment.
• Typical moving workloads are one house move or two apartment moves per day.

Lead Mover Requirements:

• Driver’s License and Good Driving Record. Must be 21+ years old per insurance requirements.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Excellent client service skills.
• Professional attitude and demeanor.
• Must be able to lift heavy items (100+ lbs.) and carry them up and down stairs.
• Must be willing to work in the heat of the summer, and possibly 8 to 12 hours on long days.
• Practical logic and mathematical skills.
• Previous box truck driving experience is a plus but not required.

Mover Helper
